Aluminum Sulfate
Some plants, like peppers and radishes, rhododendrons and hydrangeas prefer slightly more acidic soil than others. Aluminum sulfate can be applied to gently lower the pH of your soil.
To use aluminum sulfate, dilute 3 ml (3/5 tsp) per litre of water for your potted plants every 2-3 weeks. For gardens, rake 1 kg (2.2 lb) evenly over 20 m2 (200 sq. ft.) at a depth of 5-8cm. Or, apply 125 ml (1/2 cup) to medium-sized plants. Application can be repeated every 3-4 weeks. See manufacturer’s website for more directions.
