Sand and Compost Mix
This economical product can be used as an underlayer to a higher-quality soil, for instance to pack the bottom of a raised bed. It can also be used for mixing in with and expanding higher-quality soil if need be.
Not recommended as a stand-alone grow medium other than perhaps for a lawn or flower bed, as it is fairly poor in structure and could be prone to compacting, and has limited nutrient content.
While compost provides nutrients and beneficial organic matter, sand mitigates the potential salinity of compost and provides a minimum structure.
Available in 1 cu yd and 20 L format.
