Diatomaceous Earth
Diatomaceous earth is a natural material derived from sedimentary rock. Many growers swear by this material for a wide range of uses. Use diatomaceous earth to improve soil structure, oxygen circulation, water and nutrient retention. Pro tip: you can also dust this product on to the leaves of squash and cucumber plants to keep pesky cucumber beetles from munching during a critical growth stage. Recommended application is 500 g per m2 of area once per year. Store in a cool, dry location that is out of direct sunlight.
